Your tools (Pan, Wall, Door, Window, Items) sit on the left, and they show up when you're in the 2D view.
Switch between 2D, 3D, and Walk with the buttons up top.
Advanced (top right) is where detection, scaling, and the clear options live, and the readout next to it shows your footprint and floor area.
1 · Upload your plan
Two ways to get started:
Upload your floor plan in strict 2D format with the Upload button (top right). It shows up as a clean blueprint outline, and if it's a multi-page PDF, you'll pick which page is your plan.
No 2D plan? Hit Start from scratch to draw on a blank grid. That's handy if all you have is a 3D or listing render, so keep it open for reference and rebuild the layout yourself.
2 · Detect & fix the layout
Once it's uploaded or drawn, head to Advanced and run detection in this order:
Run ML Detect Doors & Windows (Beta) first, then detect the walls, so the walls fit themselves around the openings.
You get two ways to find walls. Detect walls is the standard finder that traces the solid straight lines on the plan, and it's usually best on clean blueprints. ML Detect Walls (Beta) uses a machine-learning model that can catch trickier or thinner interior walls the standard one misses. They do the same job, so if one gives you a messy result, just run the other instead.
The ML options are beta, so they can be finnicky. However you detect, you can fix anything in the 2D view: drag the endpoints of doors, walls, and windows, drag a whole wall to shift it, or slide doors and windows along their walls.
If detection really misses the mark, just draw the walls, doors, and windows yourself with the tools on the left.
3 · Scale it to life-size
Once the doors, walls, and windows are in the right places, scale your floor plan so it's life-sized. Two ways:
Input a total sqft amount, and the whole plan scales to match.
Or select a wall and size it to what the matching wall on the floor plan says. Using the longest wall gives you the best accuracy.
The readout in the top right shows your footprint and floor area so you can double-check it. When the layout's set, head to the Design menu to furnish and style it.
The wall & door detection models were trained on floor-plan datasets from Roboflow (CC BY 4.0).
Furnish it
Click Items, pick a piece, then drop it onto the plan (works in 2D, 3D, or Walk):
Drag a piece to move it, use the handles or the side panel to resize, and hit R to rotate or Delete to remove.
Items stop at walls instead of passing through, and a red ⚠ means it's overlapping something, so just nudge it clear.
Wall items like cabinets, shelves, TVs, and mirrors snap onto a wall. Slide them along it, and use Height −/+ in the panel to raise or lower them.
Recolour & style
Select something and the side panel gives you its look:
Click a wall (in 2D or 3D) to set its colour with the colour picker, or hit Reset to put it back.
In 3D, click a room's floor to pick its material (wood, tile, carpet, or concrete), so different rooms can look different.
Hide things
Select any wall, door, window, or item and hit Hide in the panel to make it see-through and click-through.
Handy for reaching past a near wall to place something on the far one. It stays faintly visible, so you can click it again to bring it back.
To un-hide everything at once, use Advanced → Show all hidden.
Delete & clear
Select anything and press Delete (or the Delete button) to remove it. Deleting a door or window that fills a gap reopens the gap, so you won't be left with a solid wall.
To wipe a whole category, use Advanced → Clear walls / Clear doors/windows / Clear furniture, and Reset everything starts you over.
View & walk through
Switch to 3D to orbit your place (drag to look, scroll to zoom).
Or Walk mode to walk through it at eye height. Use WASD or the arrow keys to move, and Q/E to turn.
Your work autosaves in the browser. You can also hit Save to download the whole project as a file and open it again later.

RoomWalk is built for a desktop or tablet. You can look around on a phone,
but tracing and furnishing need more room to work comfortably.
